HIRING: BAC RECRUITING ENGINEERING INTERN

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Department for a 12-month placement, providing an engaging experience within the bustling automotive sector. The ideal candidate will be currently undertaking an engineering programme, favouring those studying mechanical, automotive, or aerospace disciplines, specifically MENGG students who have concluded their third year and are searching for an industrial placement before their final year. This internship represents an exceptional chance to gain practical knowledge and contribute to innovative projects within a team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • CAD Modelling: Aid in the development and revision of 3D CAD models pertaining to automotive components and systems.

  • Data Collection: Accumulate essential data from a variety of sources for utilisation in engineering projects.

  • Data Management: Organise, store, and safeguard data sets to ensure accessibility and accuracy.

  • Data Reporting: Assemble data insights into coherent reports for perusal by the engineering staff and senior management.

  • Research & Development: Participate in R&D endeavours by executing experiments, conducting literature reviews, and offering innovative solutions.

  • Technical Drawings: Generate and refresh accurate 2D technical drawings conforming to engineering requirements and standards.

  • General Administration: Perform routine administrative duties including email correspondence, document management, and other organisational tasks.

  • Ad-hoc Assignments: Undertake additional duties and special projects as instructed by the CTO to assist the engineering team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited engineering programme, preferably in the third year of a MENGG or related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, automotive, or aerospace engineering principles.

  • Skilled in the use of CAD software for 3D modelling and the creation of 2D drawings.

  • Aptitude for managing, analysing, and accurately reporting data.

  • Enthusiastic about engaging in research and development activities.

  • Superior communication and organisational skills for managing general administrative responsibilities.

  • Flexible approach to work, with the capability to adapt to a variety of ad-hoc tasks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
