BAC appoints Jolyon Nash to help lead its Global Growth Strategy

BAC continues its fast-paced global growth strategy with the appointment of Jolyon Nash as Strategic Advisor, to help guide Mono sales strategy, global dealer relations and new territory management.

Jolyon arrives at BAC with an impressive career history, and a proven track record of business growth and success totalling over 30 years in the automotive industry. During this time, he has held a number of national and international commercial roles with luxury and premium brands including McLaren, Rolls-Royce, BMW, and Volkswagen.

Most recently, Jolyon spent seven years leading the commercial function at McLaren Automotive as Executive Director of Global Sales and Marketing, where McLaren sales grew from 1400 cars, to over 4600 per year. Prior to joining McLaren, Jolyon was Director, Global Sales and Marketing for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars where, during a five-year tenure, worldwide Rolls-Royce sales increased by over 350%.

The Mono supercar is currently exported to over 47 territories, including the latest showroom opening in Singapore earlier this month, which demonstrates how important strong global sales are to BAC’s continued success. Currently, 85% of Mono production is exported via its worldwide dealer network, with a business target to reach 50 export territories before the end of 2022, and a total of 60 in 2023.

BAC has developed the soon-to-launch Mono F (forced induction) supercar to address specific legislative barriers to export entry, namely tailpipe and sound emissions. This new model allows for swift local registration in mainland Europe, including Germany - the world’s second largest supercar market.

Mono F also satisfies a global demand for a legislation-friendly Mono, allowing for increased sales to both new and existing markets including the USA. Mono is already sold in 12 American states, which makes the US a significant market for BAC, not only due to the size of the opportunity, but also because the US is the leading global market for supercars.

The recently announced e-Mono creates yet another new market opportunity. Using hydrogen fuel cell technology, it allows for zero-emissions and usable range, whilst remaining relatively lightweight.

The BAC Mono has broken numerous performance records and is regarded as the new reference for supercars. Despite global success, the Mono is a very British supercar. Of 1,250 bespoke components used to build Mono, 95% are sourced in the UK, 50% of which are supplied by local companies in Liverpool City and the Northwest regions.

Speaking of his new role, Jolyon added “BAC is a Great British brand, creating some of the most technically advanced, and unique, supercars in the world. I am excited by the challenge ahead, and look forward to adding the benefit of my experience in the luxury and supercar market to propel their agile, fast-paced growth strategy.”

BAC Co-Founder and Director of Product Development Neill Briggs said of the latest appointment, “BAC is delighted to welcome Jolyon Nash to the BAC family. As a highly accomplished sales and marketing professional within the luxury and supercar industry, Jolyon brings with him a wealth of experience in automotive sales and brand building. Mono is bought by discerning and unique clients, all of whom have high expectations not only of Mono, but also of the BAC buying and ownership experience. Jolyon’s knowledge of luxury and supercars will ensure all Mono owners continue to receive the levels of bespoke service they expect, whilst our global dealer network enjoys the levels of support they deserve.”
