BAC APPOINTS USA TERRITORIAL SALES DIRECTOR TO SPEARHEAD EXPANSION ACROSS AMERICA
Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has made important steps to continue its rapid expansion across America by officially appointing Shinoo Mapleton as the BAC USA Territorial Sales Director.
Recognised as one of the leading niche vehicle experts in the USA, Shinoo represents the first-ever Sales Director outside the UK for BAC – signalling the manufacturer’s intent in the region.
BAC has exported the Mono supercar to over 40 countries worldwide, but the USA serves as the company’s primary market overseas. It has three dealership agreements in place at high-profile organisations across the States: BAC Michigan (Platinum Motorcars Detroit), BAC Dallas (Tactical Fleet) and BAC New York (Manhattan Motorcars).
Shinoo will ensure BAC is more connected than ever to the BAC Family in the USA, providing ongoing support to current owners as well as BAC dealers through sales and registration support. He will also directly drive operations to welcome more customers to the brand and establish further dealerships in targeted States.
He brings a wealth of automotive experience into the role and is no stranger to BAC, having owned the first Mono in the USA and worked as BAC’s original North American importer. Shinoo now manages a company specialising in niche vehicles and has been appointed by BAC to spearhead the latest American expansion.
Mono owners and dealers in America will continue to have a personal connection and frequent contact with the BAC factory in Liverpool, UK, but Shinoo will bridge an all-important time-zone gap from his base in California.
Part of Shinoo’s commitment will be establishing and building the Mono Owners’ Club USA – bringing like-minded enthusiasts together to take on the finest roads and circuits the country has to offer – as well as enhancing the BAC community by taking part in important automotive events nationwide.
The new BAC USA Territorial Sales Director, Shinoo, said: “We made some serious magic together in the early days when we introduced Mono to the USA and I’m very excited to take that to the next level now. Mono remains the most unique supercar you can buy at any price and there’s – understandably – incredible appetite for its brilliance across the States. I look forward to building upon what BAC has forged over these last 10 years and playing a big part in the next exciting decade.”
Neill Briggs, BAC Co-Founder and Director of Product Development, added: “Shinoo’s appointment is a huge step forward for BAC and one we’re absolutely delighted to make. The USA has become of paramount importance to BAC as our number one market, and we are very excited to have Shinoo’s experience, professionalism and drive further enhancing our reputation and expansion.
“BAC appointing a Territorial Sales Director is a model we can expect to see more around the world in our primary markets, as we move to increase our export and presence around the world.”
